All iDaP academy programs are built on a framework that weaves the three key principle courses with our state of the art technology and project labs. Participants compete on teams to address contemporary business issues in a peer reviewed experiential learning environment.

 

PRINCIPLE COURSES

Principles of Marketing: Nearly everyone in the modern world is influenced to some degree by marketing and promotion.  This course illustrates examples from the most current and best-integrated marketing and promotion campaigns used around the world.  Examples are chosen to reinforce particular ideas, theories, or practical applications of Marketing.   This dynamic course teaches the principles of Marketing in an engaging and fun way.

 

Principles of Design:  Successful visual design must have the three C’s (Components, Composition, and Concept).  We cover everything from typography and color to layout and business issues.  Whether you are a new or an experienced designer this course will instruct and inspire you to new heights of creativity.

Principles of Interactive Development: This exciting course shows you how to communicate successfully through interactivity.  Communication fundamentals are used to present guidelines for interactive development for all platforms.  Learn how to approach the interactive project as a communication tool while incorporating various media, user interfaces, interactive design, and implementation to build a successful  project.

TECHNOLOGY & PROJECT LABS

At iDaP academy, we believe hands on learning and practice is key to successful assimilation of new software programs and application of the principles taught. In the laboratory, participants are guided through the various software programs to bring their ideas to life.  Their learning experience flows seamlessly between the course material and the hands on lab environment.

 

 

What makes the after school curriculum experience (ACE) program unique is that participants compete as teams in an experiential learning environment. Parents now have a choice in after school care that has a positive impact on their child's life.

The teams apply the principles taught and present their solutions at the Project Conference.  The program culminates at the end of the term with the Project Conference . This is an after school program like you have never seen before and an experience that will last a lifetime.

 

 

The ACE Program Includes:

- A Computer for every participant (i-Pad, laptop, or desktop)

- Small group personalized instruction of the core principles

- Software Gurus in our technology labs

- Recreational activities challenge the body and mind

- Twitter and Blog sites

- Guest Speakers and Instructors

- Occasional Field Trips - no additional cost

- Daily Snacks

- Hardware and software discounts for registered participants

 

Our program is available Monday - Friday starting immediately after school with pick up between 5:30 and 6:30 PM. A daily afternoon snack is provided along with recreational breaks between the scheduled program segments.

 

The Project Conference is a multi-media event produced by the students and held at the end of each term to showcase all their creativity and ingenuity.

 

Two camp options are available (Day Camps and Resident Camp**).  Summer Campus is more than just a computer camp. Our Campers build friendships and memories that last a lifetime while developing a foundation of skills that gives them a competitive advantage among their peers.

 

Day Camp
Day Campers have access to the latest technology to create unique and personal projects focused on the principles of Marketing and Interactive Media Studies.  

 

Summer Campus includes:

Resident Camp** - Available Summer 2014

Residential Campers compete as teams while working on projects that address real life business issues for select corporate clients.

 

This is not just an extended day camp-- it is the quintessential college experience. Campers experience college life through participation in an interactive digital application program coupled with residential life on a prestigious University campus. 

iDaP academy's programs and curriculum are modular by design. They can be streamlined and customized to create a portable on demand program to fit your specific needs. We are always thinking outside the box.

 

WHAT ARE POD PROGRAMS?

The need for technology education is growing and many organizations want to offer it but do not have the the expertise or resources to deliver an effective program.

This is where the iDaP academy POD Program delivers. We assist you in creating a customized technology education experience that is Portable - meaning the program comes to you. All the resources (computers, software, & human resources) to deliver a customized program come to your specified location.

 

On Demand - you determine when and for how long you want the program to run. It may be a one day a week offering for an entire year or it may be an intensive winter/ spring break camp. The choice is yours. Simply put PODs are custom fit to accommodate your organization and your financial budget. Contact our Partner Liaison to discuss our POD program in more detail.
